Julian Roche

Julian Roche started his career with the UK Civil Service. He left to become an economist and subsequently a derivatives expert at the London Commodity Exchange. In 1991 he set up his own real estate consultancy and was later appointed a senior consultant to a venture capital company. Since 2000 he has been working primarily in Asia and Europe as a consultant, advising global banks and government agencies on aspects of corporate and real estate investment, valuation and restructuring. He has published a number of books and regularly presents seminars on a range of financial topics. Julian lives in country WA.

Raj Selvedra

Raj Selvendra (Sel) started his career as a public affairs adviser to the US Government before moving to Australia in 1988. He has held senior management positions in various companies including Energy Equity Company, and has worked for other public listed companies including LNG Limited. Sel played an active role in Malaysian politics and worked to establish a $100 million ringgit community based investment company, and a community based educational foundation which established the TAFE College of Malaysia. Sel is a board member of various local organisations, Vice President of the Burswood Branch of the WA ALP and was Convenor of the Multicultural and Ethnic Affairs Policy Committee of the state ALP (WA Branch). He currently also serves on the Belmont Rotary, board of the Lady Gowrie Child Care Centres, and the Belmont Business Enterprise Centre. His current business focus is coal mining in Indonesia and Australia.

David Ritter

David Ritter is the Senior Oceans Campaigner at Greenpeace in London and a Visiting Fellow to the Faculty of Law at the University of Western Australia. He has served on the boards of various Western Australian community organisations and is a regular contributor to public and academic debate across a range of issues.

Murray Lampard APM

Murray Lampard is a Professor (part time) in the Faculty of Business and Law, Edith Cowan University. In his role with the University he provides the strategic interface between the School of Law and Justice and their strategic partners, specifically in the public safety sector. He recently retired from the Western Australia Police in July 2008 at the rank of Deputy Commissioner. In a career spanning almost 33 years, he competed his service as a senior member of Commissioner’s Executive Team. He has broad and significant statewide and national business experience coupled with proven and highly successful strategic frontline operational leadership.

In June 2004 Murray was named in the Queen’s Birthday Honours list and awarded an “Australian Police Medal” (APM) for distinguished and exemplary police service and in 2006 was awarded an Australian Honours “Centenary Medal”, for services to the Shire of Upper Gascoyne. A passionate Western Australian, he sits on a number of Boards namely The Australia Day Council, Defence Reserves Support Council, Hobbs Artillery Foundation Board and Consultative Committee’s for ECU School of Forensic Psychology, Child Health Research Centre and School of Business. Patron of Camp Quality Children’s Foundation and UN Police Association (Aust) (WA Branch).
